Seasons Of Culture
Partnership

***JOIN AT ANYTIME, THROUGHTOUT THE YEAR. CATCH UP OPTIONS ALSO AVAILABLE***

Join us in partnership to take your young learners on a meaningful journey through Aboriginal culture.

Our Seasons of Culture Partnership Program is delivered across Victoria, New South Wales, Queensland and Western Australia.

Each month, children explore a new cultural theme through storytelling, music, dance and art, learning through play in a fun, engaging and age-appropriate way. Sessions are designed to support cultural awareness, respect and empathy, while aligning with early learning frameworks.

The program operates as a rolling partnership, meaning services can join at any time during the year. While the full program runs across the year, it is flexible—kindergartens, preschools and early learning centres are not required to commit to all 12 months.

A minimum commitment of 4 months is required to participate in the program.

📍 Programs are delivered Australia-wide using trained Aboriginal educators, with local educators engaged wherever possible.

ATTENTION: NSW, QLD & WA

Bookings will commence from July 2026 onward. You’re welcome to double up sessions in certain months to receive extra visits and choose your preferred theme(s) from the January–June period. You are also welcome to select a theme from the January-June period to replace another theme that is in the July-December period. *Rule only stands for 2026

School Readiness Funding SRF

Flexible Funding – Supporting Cultural Learning Experiences

Some kindergarten services may be eligible to access flexible funding as part of the 2027–2028 two-year funding cycle.

Services that receive an allocation of $10,000 or more may be able to use up to 25% of their funding flexibly, allowing them to invest in programs and experiences not listed on the SRF Menu (subject to departmental approval).

This can provide an opportunity for services to incorporate meaningful cultural education programs, such as those delivered by Little Wombats Program, into their learning environment.

Our programs are designed to support:

  • Cultural awareness and understanding

  • Fine and gross motor skill development

  • Engagement through storytelling, music, movement, and hands-on activities

While this option is not available to all services, it may assist eligible centres in accessing enriching experiences that align with their learning goals and community values.

Please note:

  • The use of flexible funding is at the discretion of each service, and

  • All funding allocations are subject to departmental approval

If you’re unsure whether your service is eligible, we encourage you to speak with your centre director or relevant funding body.
